About

Markus A. Dahlem studied physics in Aachen, Göttingen and Magdeburg. He worked several years in biomedical engineering, computational neuroscience, and neurology, before he returned to theoretical physics specializing in control of nonlinear dynamics.
Having broad expertise in both nonlinear science and neurology, he is interested in converging technologies in these fields to shape future directions in biomedical engineering. Currently he is a visiting scientist at the TU Berlin.
His work is not confined to the laboratory. Together with Klaus Podoll he founded the Migraine Aura Foundation, a non-profit organization, with the goal to provide material that helps patients to recognize and understand their neurological symptoms during migraine.
Moreover, he enjoys writing for his blog.
